Remembering times when I was waiting in a desert make-shift media whore town for the fate of 33 Chilean miners stuck hundreds of metres below the ground - I came upon this Kurt Douglas film from 1951.
A frustrated former big-city journalist now stuck working for an Albuquerque newspaper exploits a story about a man trapped in a cave to re-jump start his career, but the situation quickly escalates into an out-of-control circus.
Oh the parallels.
